Pi, uniquely in mathematics, is pervasive in popular culture and the popular imagination. In this lecture I shall intersperse a largely chronological account of pi&#8217;s mathematical status with examples of its ubiquity.<\/p>\n<p>Time: 6:30pm Tuesday 28 September 2010<\/p>\n<p>Place: Abel Smith Lecture Theatre (Blg 23), University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus, Brisbane, Australia.
