As I wrote the day of his passing,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Jon\u2019s passing is an incalculable loss to the field of mathematics in general, and to experimental mathematics in particular. Jon is arguably the world\u2019s leading researcher in the field of experimental mathematics, and his loss will be very deeply felt. We will be reading his papers and following his example for decades to come.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the wake of Jon&#8217;s passing, it seems appropriate to end the Math Drudge blog. Thus no new posts will be made to this site.<\/p>\n<p>Readers are instead referred to a new blog, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathscholar.org\/\">Math Scholar blog<\/a>. In this forum, myself and some other guest writers will explore many of the same themes mentioned above, as well as some new topics that emerge in our ever-changing world. <\/p>\n<p>Comments are welcome.
